Pitching and Titling Your NonFiction Writing So It Gets Noticed

Editors for magazine and digital publications are pressed for time and often make decisions on what pitches and essays they want to read quickly. But there is an answer to getting an editor's attention. It is crafting your pitch so it slots in a specific category out of several, and titling your pitch or essay so it evokes emotion and gets a reaction. In this session we will go over the categories of pitches following a system I created so you can quickly tweak your pitch to fit an editor's needs, plus I will cover 7 ways to title your work, including how to use questions, facts, emotion, compelling statements, specific words and more. There will be a question and answer session at the end of the session and later at a Pitching Portal/Book Signing, Estelle will sign your copy of her book and provide help on a pitch or a title.
