The Treasures in Your Own Back Yard: Mining Your Life, Friends and Family for Article Ideas

Successful freelance writers understand that marketable article ideas are everywhere if you know what to look for. One area often overlooked, however, is a writer’s own life—their hobbies and interests, as well as family and friends. In this session, long-time freelancer Don Vaughan will explore how a writer’s life experience can provide a treasure trove of marketable ideas, determining an idea’s merit, conceiving ideas for specific markets, the value of pitching to multiple markets, and developing ideas uniquely pegged on holidays and anniversaries.
