Alison Hill is a writer, journalist, Emmy-nominated producer, and the author of The Writer’s Digest Guide to Journalism. As a 25+ year media veteran, she’s done everything from hosting TV shows and speaking on live radio, to filming undercover. As a freelancer, she writes for various print and online publications, including a monthly column for WritersDigest.com, and is also a New York Times stringer. Since 2001 Alison has been a guest commentator on BBC Cymru radio news shows. Before going solo, she produced and directed studio discussion shows for PBS and was an investigative journalist for an ITV Wales current affairs series. Alison has interviewed people from all backgrounds and experiences, from celebrities and politicians to unhoused youths. An avid hiker and kayaker, Alison grew up in the mountains of north Wales and speaks fluent Welsh. She now lives in South Carolina with her husband,12-year-old daughter, two rescue cats, and a dog.
